Lorna Byrne Mission Statement:
The Lorna Byrne Middle School staff and community strives constantly to provide relevant educational experiences that will maximize the potential of all individuals.
Lorna Byrne Vision Statement:
All students and staff will have equal opportunity to acquire academic and personal skills necessary to be successful in a respectful and cooperative learning environment.
Lorna Byrne Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Statement Positive Behavior Supports is designed to help students take responsibility for their academic and behavioral choices. We will help students do this by teaching specific lessons to our students that build on our three school rules: Safety, Responsibility, & Respect. All teachers at LBMS will teach all PBS lessons. When everyone has the same expectations, rewards, and consequences for behavior, an equitable climate where students can learn and succeed will be the outcome.
IMMUNIZATION EXCLUSION DAY ALERT
Wednesday, February 17th, is EXCLUSION DAY for students that have incomplete immunization records on file at the school.
"Oregon Law requires that all children attending public/private schools, or children's facilities show evidence of compliance with state immunization requirements, or have a religious or medical exemption on file" as per ORS 433.267, OAR 333-050-0010 through 333-050-0140.

21st Century Learning Grant - Morning Homework Help House Hours:
Monday through Friday - 7:15 AM - 8:00 AM (in Library)
21st Century Learning Grant - Afternoon Homework Help House & Activities Hours:
Monday through Thursday - 3:15 PM - 5:15 PM
(Activity bus will leave LBMS @ 5:30 PM)
First bell rings at 8:30 AM. The building will be open to all students NOT attending Morning HHH at 8:00 AM.
