Opening the second decade of the 21st Century is a reminder to all of the value and importance of quality education for all students. Hidden Valley faculty has reaffirmed its commitment to do whatever it takes to assure our students that they can get a strong academic foundation for the rest of their lives. As principal, I am pleased with the sense of community that we bring to surround kids with opportunities in our classrooms, in our clubs and activities and on our athletic teams. Our teachers and support staff have a wide range of skills and passions that allow us to offer our student the chance to try many different things. From foods to fencing, from algebra to zoology, from cross county to computers, from forensics to FFA our students will find their niche to develop their unique gifts.
The focus of our professional development in 2009-2010 is one constant improvement of teaching and learning. We have teachers observing one another’s work and learning from one another about all of the skills that teachers need to individualize learning for our kids. We want to be sure that students who graduate from Hidden Valley have been well prepared for decisions they make in their adult life.
Our goals remain consistent over time:
- Provide solid education for all kids
- Create positive relationships that allow our kids to grow in a safe place
- Offer curricular and co-curricular opportunities that teach the value of excellence and teamwork
- Connect kids to post high school colleges and careers
- Build a lasting legacy of compassion and care for our students and their families
We are open to hearing from members of our school community about the quality of our educational advisement services. Please take our Public Perception Survey found at the top of this page.
Sincerely,
Dennis Misner
